Maintenance of Mechanical Parking Garages

Created on 10.30
With the improvement of people's living standards, the number of private cars has been increasing. However, the problem of difficult parking has become increasingly prominent, making it a major urban issue. The application of mechanical parking garages has effectively alleviated this situation. Given the relatively high cost of mechanical parking garages, proper maintenance is essential during their use. Today, we will specifically introduce the key points to note for the maintenance of mechanical parking garages.

Maintenance personnel are responsible for conducting regular inspections and performing maintenance work on mechanical parking equipment. The maintenance work can be divided into the following categories:

01 Weekly Maintenance

Every week, inspect and clean the operating environment, metal structures, electrical equipment, transmission devices, and safety protection devices of the mechanical parking garage. Add lubricating oil to parts that require it or make appropriate adjustments. If any abnormalities are found, address them immediately.

02 Monthly Maintenance

Each month, inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust the working conditions of all transmission components, electrical control systems, and safety protection devices of the parking equipment.

03 Quarterly Maintenance

In addition to daily inspections, every quarter, inspect and maintain the main load-bearing components and their connections, safety protection devices, equipment appearance, safety signs, and warnings of the parking equipment. If necessary, conduct functional tests on the electrical control system.

04 Annual Maintenance

Once a year, perform a comprehensive and systematic maintenance and cleaning of the mechanical parking garage, including tests on electrical grounding and insulation.

Maintenance Content and Technical Requirements

Metal Structures

  1. Partial and overall metal structures shall be firmly connected, stable, and reliable, without permanent torsion deformation, weld cracks, or other defects. No obvious deformation or abnormal noise shall occur during loaded operation.
  2. High-strength bolt connections shall be tightened to meet the specified torque requirements. Flat washers and spring washers for fasteners shall be complete. The bolt length shall be longer than the nut, ensuring secure fastening without looseness.
  3. The verticality of the metal structure frame columns shall be ≤ L/1000 mm (where L is the length of the metal structure frame column). The parallelism between beams shall be ≤ 15 mm, and the difference in length between the two diagonals of the frame shall be ≤ 10 mm, unless special requirements are specified.
  4. When the transfer trolley bears the rated load, the deflection at the midpoint of its longitudinal main beam shall be ≤ L/400 mm (where L is the length of the beam).
  5. The embedded bolts on the column base plate shall not be loose or rusted. The foundation shall be free from settlement, cracks, or other defects, and the area around the foundation shall be kept clean.
  6. The guide rails (tracks) shall have good straightness, with a deformation amount ≤ [specify value if available] mm. The joints shall be evenly flat without obvious convex or concave points.

Equipment Components

  1. The motor base shall be firmly connected, without obvious deformation. The motor shall operate normally without abnormal noise, and the braking system shall be flexible and reliable.
  2. The horizontal distance between the end of the parking surface of the transfer device and the ground at the entrance/exit shall be ≤ 40 mm, and the vertical height difference shall be ≤ 50 mm. The vertical height difference between the front end and the ground surface shall be ≤ 50 mm.
  3. The leveling error between the vehicle-carrying surface of the lifting platform and that of the transfer trolley shall be ≤ 15 mm. The lifting limit device shall be firmly installed, with normal gear meshing and reliable limiting function.
  4. The horizontal distance of the gap between the front end of the vehicle-carrying plate and the ground surface shall be ≤ 40 mm, and the vertical height difference shall be ≤ 50 mm. The vehicle-carrying plate shall be flat overall without permanent deformation, with no cracks at welds and no loose or missing fixing bolts at connections.
  5. Pulleys and similar components shall rotate flexibly, be well-lubricated, firmly fixed, free from cracks, defects, or other flaws that may damage the steel wire ropes.
  6. The steel wire ropes shall be in good tension condition, with a cross-sectional shrinkage rate of less than 10% and a broken wire rate of less than 10%, and shall be free from rust.
  7. The geometric center planes of the driving sprocket and driven sprocket shall coincide, and the offset shall not exceed the design requirements.
  8. The chain shall have proper tension, free from rust, cracks, torsion deformation, or loose fits at interference joints.
  9. The steering device shall be firmly fixed, rotate flexibly, be well-lubricated, and have accurate positioning.
  10. The motor base shall be firmly connected without abnormal deformation.
  11. The traversing frame shall be firmly connected, with no obvious torsion deformation during operation, stable operation, and reliable positioning.
  12. The driving wheels shall rotate flexibly, make good contact with the guide rails (tracks), and be free from slipping, jamming, derailment, or similar phenomena.
  13. The bolts of the coupling shall not be loose or missing; the keys of the coupling shall fit tightly without looseness; gear couplings and cross-slider couplings shall be lubricated regularly.
  14. The vehicle-carrying plate shall be flat overall, operate stably, have reliable braking, and accurate positioning. Adjacent vehicle-carrying plates shall remain parallel, operate at the same speed, and have no mutual collision.
  15. The brake friction pads shall have self-compensation capability, and the wear amount shall comply with relevant standards.
  16. The brake friction surface of the brake wheel shall be free from oil stains, cracks, or other defects that may affect braking performance. The brake base shall be firmly connected, and the brake spring shall have no plastic deformation.

Appearance and Coating

  1. The appearance shall be neat and clean, free from stains and oil stains.
  2. The surface of the vehicle platform shall be cleaned regularly to keep it clean.
  3. All signs and guardrails shall be complete and undamaged.
  4. Buffer pads at all positions shall be firmly installed. Damaged or aged buffer pads shall be replaced in a timely manner.
