The management of mechanical parking spaces differs from that of ordinary parking areas. So, what risks need to be noted or avoided in their daily management?
General Management Requirements for Mechanical Parking Spaces
- The corresponding equipment registration and approval procedures shall be completed before mechanical parking spaces are put into use.
- Parking space management personnel shall receive necessary training and obtain the corresponding work qualification certificates.
- Necessary safety disclaimer reminders shall be posted in prominent areas of the parking spaces, including parking precautions and a prohibition on unauthorized operation.
- Regular maintenance, repair and inspection shall be conducted on the parking spaces, and corresponding records shall be archived properly.
- Operating procedures for mechanical parking spaces shall be established, and operation logs shall be recorded daily in accordance with the procedures.
- When a mechanical parking space malfunctions, it shall be taken out of service immediately, and the supervision department shall be reported promptly.
Garage Parking Rules and Restrictions
- Vehicles exceeding the specified size and weight are strictly prohibited from entering the mechanical parking garage.
- When entering or exiting a mechanical parking space, drive at a low speed; emergency braking and rapid acceleration are prohibited. After getting off the vehicle, the doors must be locked and the rearview mirrors folded.
- Vehicles must be parked in the safe area and must not cross the safety parking line. Parking on empty rails without a parking plate is strictly prohibited.
- After parking the vehicle, personnel shall leave the area as soon as possible and must not stay in the parking space.
Operational Precautions for Mechanical Parking Spaces
- Mechanical parking spaces shall be operated by designated personnel; non-professional personnel are not allowed to start or operate the equipment.
- Before operating a mechanical parking space, it is essential to confirm that there are no personnel in the mechanical parking spaces of the same zone. If personnel are found retrieving their vehicles in the same zone when the mechanical parking space is starting, the emergency stop button shall be pressed immediately.
- When parking, wait for the empty parking plate to reach the ground floor before reversing the vehicle into the mechanical parking space.
- Before lifting the parking space, confirm that the vehicle is parked in the middle of the parking plate without exceeding limits, the handbrake has been pulled, and no one remains in the area.
- In case of abnormal conditions (including but not limited to alarm sounds), press the emergency stop button immediately to stop the equipment operation.
